Read guideFrequently asked questions
Can attendees browse or discover my event?
There is no public event directory or calendar. Share your event link, QR code or joining code with your intended audience.
Does every attendee need a CNVNE account?
No. Simple joining uses a name, email and shared event password. In-room interaction uses its own join code or QR link, followed by a name and optional email. Events with account registration require an account.
Why can I see content that my attendee cannot?
Organisers can preview and manage content that is not published. Test in a signed-out browser and check event status, enabled sections, video or poster publication, and stage visibility.
Why is my joining code not working?
Check the saved code and whether the event is published and accepting joins. The homepage event code and the stage interaction code shown in Present are different routes: use /join for the latter.
Why is my password-reset code rejected?
Use the latest 8-digit code sent to the account email. It expires after 10 minutes. Request a new one if it has expired and keep the reset form open while checking your email.
Can I use YouTube or Vimeo instead of hosted streaming?
Yes. YouTube, Vimeo, Castr and other compatible providers can be embedded using their iframe code or HTTPS embed-player URL. The provider must allow embedding and its own restrictions still apply.
Why is an embedded player blank or refusing to connect?
Use the embed-player URL or iframe code rather than a watch-page link. Check that embedding is enabled, the viewing domain is allowed and the provider’s broadcast is available. Then use Show player to attendees in the production desk.
Why do viewers still see Waiting for Live Stream?
For hosted streaming, confirm the encoder is connected and Go Live has been selected. For external streaming, use Show player to attendees. Hiding an external player deliberately returns it to the waiting state.
Where are my RTMP server and stream key?
Save a hosted stage and select Create stream in Live production. If hosted video is unavailable, ask the platform administrator to check the connection and your organisation’s access.
Why does low latency not change my existing stream immediately?
Save the setting, then End stream, stop the encoder and Start new preview. Apply it between sessions because this restarts the stream.
Why is the audience interaction panel missing?
Enable Audience Interaction Panel in stage Configure, then enable the individual tools. Check the selected stage. On mobile it appears below the video. Slido also requires its embed URL.
Why can a participant see a pending question?
People see their own questions without a pending/live label. Other participants see them only after approval. A reply to a pending question stays private to its author until approved.
Does Review questions first also moderate chat?
No. Chat appears immediately. Moderators can delete messages; the review setting applies to Q&A.
What happens when I close a poll?
It disappears from audience view. The panel returns to Q&A, or Chat if Q&A is disabled. Results remain available in stage reports.
Does Publish on a recording make it a live stream?
No. It makes the ready video available as on-demand content in the event’s Videos section. The event must also be accessible and the section enabled.
Will trimming overwrite my original recording?
No. It creates a new unpublished copy. Review and publish that copy, then unpublish or delete the original only if appropriate. Both retained copies use storage.
What are the upload limits?
Resources accept PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC and DOCX up to 250 MB per file. Video uploads allow up to 5 GB. General image and video-thumbnail controls allow up to 25 MB; always follow the limit displayed on the specific control.
Why does a document have no thumbnail?
Some Word and PowerPoint files contain no embedded preview. Upload a thumbnail in the resource editor. Check the download separately; a missing preview does not necessarily mean the file failed.
Can moderators manage the whole event?
Event-specific moderators can access moderation only. Event Admins manage all event sections. Organisation team members keep their broader organisation access.
Are the pricing plans and usage charges active?
The pricing page currently shows proposed launch pricing for review. Exploring a plan does not start billing or change account limits. Hosted-video access is managed separately by the platform administrator.
What should I include when reporting a problem?
Tell your event organiser or platform administrator the event and stage, the page, your device/browser, the time it happened, what you expected and any error text. A screenshot helps. Do not include your password, email verification code or stream key.
